Alfie Mawson...really?
OK...given that we MAY need a cental defender, who in their right mind would rush to sign a guy from a team with the worse defensive record in the division...remember Paul Hilton ??

Re: Alfie Mawson...really?
For me because the money could be spent better on other positions. We're not Man City were it doesn't matter. If we do spend £20m + on this guy what is left to address the real problem which is in midfield?

Re: Alfie Mawson...really?
Yes please.

Why do people care so much about the fee it’s not your fucking money. I just want players that improve our team and if anyone thinks that CB is a position that we are strong in then they aren’t watching the same team as I am.

His teams position in the league don’t have a bearing on his ability. Sign him up.

Re: Alfie Mawson...really?
Opinion seems pretty mixed on the Swansea forums, but plenty who would let him go provided the money went back into the squad.

Re: Alfie Mawson...really?
DRUID BUSTER SON, I only wanted us to move because new ownership will come... BILLIONAIRE ARABS or BILLIONAIRE SOMETHING-OR-OTHERS... I've made that perfectly clear many, many times surely?!

Unfortunately, with the deal we've signed i.e. the government getting x-amount from any sale during the first 5 years there or something, we may have to wait as long as then.

Still, we can hope that something comes from this BILLIONAIRE YANK who's bought 10% of the club as he's part of an Asset Management Group worth MANY, MANY BILLIONS.

Bookmark this thread, if you want... I'll prove to be right, eventually.

Cheers Sven.

Solidbond

Wrong.

I started a thread about him a while ago: http://www.westhamonline.net/forum_flat.php?8708923%7Ca0_a6_a0_a0_a0

Plenty said he was pony.

North Bank and I, however, know our football.

I didn't ,I can't remember any threads about Harry Maguire being pony either.

Quite a few on here reckoned Maguire was pony probably for the same reasons quite a few on here reckon Mawson must be pony as well

Re: Alfie Mawson...really?
How many of you would have said the same things about Harry Maguire if we'd tried to sign him from Hull last season

He hasn't worked out too bad has he?

That our midfield is shit and we are an unbalanced shambles of a squad

In slightly different words

'You couldn't possibly have a bigger pair of thick cunts running the club than we have now'

Yet you still backed them for years over moving us from our home.

dicksie3 7:20 Thu Dec 28
Re: Alfie Mawson...really?
Remember, our thick cunt narrow-minded wanker board say that they only want to buy players based here or players based abroad who have played here before.

We could sign a quality centre-back abroad for £15m - let alone £25m - but our board are so fucking thick, and our scouting network is so fucking shit, that we will never do this.

You couldn't possibly have a bigger pair of thick cunts running the club than we have now.

Make Leicester an offer he/they can't refuse for Maguire.....nice thought but won't happen.

Re: Alfie Mawson...really?
Yes, Mawson from 20th place Swansea and Arfur form 18th place Bournemouth, are going to take us to the next level we have been promised.

neilalex 7:10 Thu Dec 28
Re: Alfie Mawson...really?
The main reason we concede so many goals is that we get pissed on in midfield, and we can't keep possession to save our lives. I'm not quite sure how a new CB solves that problem. The real worry about this rumour is that it takes whatever amount of money it is away from more urgent priorities. I really don't understand it.

Fucking jokers

Re: Alfie Mawson...really?
If we are in for centre back which I don't think is a necessity then it should be tarkowski at Burnley .

Sven Roeder 11:46 Thu Dec 28

"I have been reassured by Moyes analysis of where our problems are and what we need."

I missed that Sven, what's he said ?
